Our Adventures are far more than tours of gourmet restaurants with an occasional cooking lesson. Each Adventure is limited to only 6 people, so exclusivity is guaranteed. Cooking lessons or demonstrations are given every day, some by well-renown and even Michelin-star chefs. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to join in the cooking when possible.
On the 7-day, 6-night Adventure you will spend your Paris nights in a luxury apartment in a fashionable neighborhood. You'll get to enjoy a cocktail party and barbeque on a barge docked on the Seine in view of the Eiffel Tower and be allowed to watch a demonstration by one of the chefs at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School.
Your ventures into Burgundy are well-planned to offer unique experiences: private winery tours and tastings, a lunch in the town of Chablis prepared expressly for you by the chef. There will be an overnight stay at a former medieval priory, where the owner will prepare some of the meals. You will enjoy a cooking lesson by a Michelin-star chef at a chateau followed by a private tour of the chateau. Or, during truffle season (Autumn) you will an opportunity to participate in a truffle hunt and enjoy a private dinner designed to highlight truffles.
French cuisine involves far more than cooking. We eat first with our eyes: presentation is a vital component of French cuisine and you will see how best to present food. You will learn the French concept of a meal: several courses served one after the other, eating and enjoying the meal in a relaxed manner. Fresh ingredients are required for the best French cuisine, so you will get to shop at local markets, buy seasonal fresh goods, and cook them in the apartment.
